Our Mission
Our mission is to enable older people to continue living at home as they age, if they wish, supported by technology that helps them maintain independence, confidence and self-reliance while reducing the burden on caregivers.
Our Story
2020
Research and user trials
La Casa Care began as a commercial research project at UCD, with three years of user trials to train AI models and test non-invasive wireless technologies that support independent living for older people.
2023
La Casa Care was founded
La Casa Care spun out of UCD in January 2023 as a campus company.
The company secured equity investment from Enterprise Ireland and EIT Digital.
2024
Innovation partnerships and accelerators
La Casa Care was selected for the Deutsche Telekom accelerator to test Wi-Fi sensing technology, joined an AI accelerator programme at UCD to develop falls-risk prediction models, and became a partner under the Roche Diagnostics Incubator Programme.
